Nevertheless, this season, Barcelona have suffered from injuries to key players, which have cost them in important matchups. The squad clearly needs more depth in multiple positions, especially in the striker role now that Robert Lewandowski is well past his prime and has been sidelined frequently in the past few months. The only other natural option for the Culers has been Ferran Torres, who is getting the lion’s share of minutes in that role.
Although Torres is doing a decent job, the club may look to sign a new number nine in the next transfer window. On that note, it looks like they could be presented with an opportunity to sign one of the best strikers in the world currently, if the reports are to be believed.
According to SPORT, Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has a €65 million (£57 million) release clause that will be activated next summer, and the 32-year-old England international is weighing up his options, which include staying in Germany or considering a move to Barcelona.

Kane has been in top form with Bayern Munich this campaign and has already netted a whopping 22 goals along with three assists in 15 matches. He is currently one of the best number nines, if not the best.
It is a known fact that Barcelona are a bit stretched in terms of finances, but €65 million is a reasonable amount that could be considered by the management given the quality they would get in return.
That said, if the player is indeed up for grabs next summer, other clubs will surely join the race for the England international as well, which could drive the price up even further. For now, these are still speculations, and only time will tell if they turn out to be true.
