Tottenham lost Saturday’s matchup against London rivals Chelsea, as the match finished 1–0 after a goal from João Pedro. The Blues were clearly the better side, with Spurs failing to impress in front of their home fans.
Losing matches is one thing, but failing to create even a single good scoring chance is another, especially against a Chelsea team that has struggled defensively due to injuries. But that is exactly what unfolded at Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
According to FotMob, Tottenham registered an expected goals (xG) value of just 0.10, compared to Chelsea’s 3.68. Spurs managed only one shot on target out of three attempts, further highlighting how poor their overall performance was on Saturday.

Notably, Tottenham are also out of the Carabao Cup after a 2–0 defeat to Newcastle. This marks the second straight match in all competitions where the club has failed to score a goal.
Tottenham, who started the season strongly, have managed to hold on to fourth place despite this loss against Chelsea. However, their inability to create chances could hurt them in the long run if they wish to win trophies.
The club invested heavily in attacking players, bringing in Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, and Mathys Tel. And Spurs manager Thomas Frank will need to find a way to make things click quickly.
The Lilywhites face Copenhagen next in the Champions League and will be aiming for nothing less than a win. But given their current form, it won’t be an easy task, and the players will have to be at their best to make it happen.
