There is little doubt as to why they have targeted the Ghanaian international. The 25-year-old has been the second-highest goal scorer in the Premier League this season, recording six goals and three assists in just seven appearances.
Recently, Liverpool brought in Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth to bolster their left-back position, and now they seem to be eyeing their winger as well. All this eagerness persists as Mohamed Salah has just over a year remaining on his contract, and a future replacement for the Egyptian star has not yet been finalised.
Acquiring a top-tier player for their winger position has become a key priority for Liverpool’s future ambitions. It will be interesting for fans to see whether the Reds can manage to secure Semenyo who clearly falls under that category. The question remains will £80 million be enough for this rising talent, whose contract runs until 2030 or Liverpool will have to dig deeper into their pockets for his signature?
