Not too long ago, in the previous season, Tottenham Hotspur were facing a grim future, sitting 17th in the Premier League table, just above the relegation zone. However, since then, they have turned things around in incredible fashion. The club went on to win the Europa League, securing a place in the Champions League.
Following that success, Tottenham appointed Thomas Frank as their new manager and strengthened the squad by bringing in some notable names during the summer transfer window. The results of these changes are already evident, as Spurs currently sit third in the Premier League.
While the players focus on matters on the pitch, the club’s management are doing their job off it and keeping an eye on potential reinforcements for the future. On that note, it appears the club are monitoring one of Brentford’s wingers.
Florian Plettenberg posted on X stating that Tottenham are among the teams closely following the development of Kevin Schade. The 23-year-old left winger is under contract with Brentford until 2028, and Spurs have expressed interest in a possible transfer in the summer of 2026. Schade is currently part of the German national team and is considered a player to watch.
Tottenham Keeping an Eye on Promising Brentford Player
Schade has made seven Premier League appearances for Brentford this season and scored one goal. While the German international is undoubtedly a promising young talent, he will need to improve his goal contributions if he hopes to succeed at a club like Tottenham. That said, the season is still young, and his final statistics remain to be seen.
The youngster is capable of playing on both wings as well as in the centre-forward role, although the left flank is his preferred position. This could offer valuable tactical flexibility to the Tottenham manager if Schade does eventually join the squad.
In addition to Schade, Tottenham are also said to be interested in Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, who is arguably the stronger option of the two. However, the Ghanaian international has attracted interest from other clubs as well, and recent reports suggest he might be open to a move abroad which could complicate matters.
If a deal for Semenyo does not materialise, Schade could certainly emerge as a viable alternative. But that is a discussion for another day. For now, let us enjoy the current season and see how Tottenham continue to perform with their improved squad and renewed spirit.
