It hasn’t been too long since the transfer window has drawn to a close but the rumours have started flowing in again. In the summer Manchester City were a bit quite judging by their usual standards. However the club still managed to secure a number of quality players including Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, James Trafford, Rayan Cherki, Gianluigi Donnarumma, among others.
On the other hand some notable names like Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan have left and joined other clubs. Now it looks like another player is set to follow suit in the near future if reports are to be believed.
According to CaughtOffside, Barcelona and Juventus have concrete plans to sign Manchester City player Bernado Silva, while ambitious Saudi clubs, Al Ahli, Al Qadsiah and Al Nassr, are said to be preparing substantial offers as well.
Manchester City player wanted by Barcelona and Juventus
Silva has only a few months left on his contract, which runs until 2026. Manchester City will need to find a solution for the player, either by extending his contract or by selling him in the winter transfer window, if they want to avoid losing him for free next summer.
The Portuguese international has made nine appearances this season and remains an important part of Pep Guardiola’s squad. He was also a member of Manchester City’s Champions League-winning team. So needless to say, that Silva is a fan favourite at Etihad.
The Citizens are reportedly in no rush to make a decision on the 31-year-old’s future. However, this could backfire if the player chooses to run down his contract and leave in the summer.
Nevertheless, this is still a developing situation, and Silva does have some time left on his agreement. So, we will have to wait and see how the situation unfolds.
