Manchester City are always in search of players who could further strengthen their team. The transfer window ended not too long ago, but the club already seems to be focusing on future moves and keeping an eye on potential signings.

In the summer, Manchester City brought in a few new faces. However, none of them could be considered a marquee signing, apart from Gianluigi Donnarumma, who is not an outfield player. As a result, it is highly likely that the Citizens will look to make a high-profile signing the next time the window opens.

On that note, it looks like Manchester City have set their sights on one of the Premier League’s hottest prospects this season. The player in question is Antoine Semenyo.

According to TeamTalk, Manchester City could make a move for Semenyo, as Pep Guardiola views the star’s directness and technical polish as tailor made for his system.

Semenyo has turned heads with his performances this season. The 25-year-old has scored six goals and provided three assists in seven Premier League matches for Bournemouth.

The Ghanaian international is currently the second-highest scorer in the league, just behind Erling Haaland. Semenyo can operate in multiple positions. Apart from his primary role as a right winger, he is also comfortable playing on the opposite flank and in the number nine role.

There’s little doubt about the quality Semenyo possesses and that he would be a great signing for Manchester City. However, as expected, a few other Premier League giants are also interested in the player, including Liverpool and Tottenham. So, it remains to be seen who will eventually win the race to secure Semenyo’s signature.
