After the first couple of months of the 25/26 season, Chelsea’s stability seems off, mainly because Enzo Maresca has been left with limited options to make quality reshuffles as a result of their never-ending injury problems.

Surely, they have been facing a major struggle early this season after losing key talents due to injuries. As the team faces an early crisis, it should not pose difficulties if things are managed well as early as possible.

The Chelsea boss made critical changes in the last match against Liverpool, and the win has created hope for more good results through the implementation of tactical improvements in their upcoming matches.

Amid the several key defenders who have been sidelined due to unprecedented injuries, the midfield is another area where the Blues faced a setback with Dario Essugo, Enzo Fernandez and Andrey Santos all picking up some sort of issue, whether short-term or long-term, at the beginning of the season.

In recent years, the Blues have built a strong squad around youngsters and to maintain their upward trajectory, they are yet again ready to look for a talented wonderkid midfielder. As reported by London World, Chelsea have recently been linked with Jorthy Mokio from Ajax, among several Premier League clubs.

What Could Jorthy Mokio Add For Chelsea?

Chelsea recently signed Jorrel Hato on a seven-year contract from Ajax, and the Londoners are seemingly looking to make a further move to bring in another young talent who has been producing promising results in the Eredivisie.

Although the 17-year-old shines in defensive midfield, he also has the ability to play in the centre-back role when the team expects it from him. And in this situation, gaining both from a single investment would be the cherry on top.

However, any move will have to wait until at least the January transfer window, but most probably longer. Ajax might not be keen to say goodbye to one of their most promising talents this early in his career.
