Chelsea’s performances show that the players are still not on the same wavelength after welcoming several new arrivals this summer. Although that’s understandable, as it takes time to build proper coordination among new teammates. However, this has led to a slow start to the season.

That said, the Blues have gained much needed momentum recently after their 5–1 victory against Ajax in the UEFA Champions League. This is the type of performance expected from the team after management pulled off some of the best attacking signings during the summer transfer window, bringing in players like Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.

The Brazilian has already established himself at the top of the pecking order for now. Meanwhile, Delap, who is currently out on the sidelines, is nearing his return date. Nevertheless, it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Blues to further strengthen their attack, especially with the recent number of injuries at the top of the field.

In fact, it seems Chelsea have already started keeping an eye on potential candidates for the job. According to TBR Football, Chelsea have been monitoring and showing interest in 23-year-old forward Fisnik Asllani from Hoffenheim, along with Tottenham and Aston Villa, after he showcased immense potential this season.

Asllani has improved and developed his attacking and dribbling skills over the years and has been highly impressive since the beginning of this campaign, registering 5 goals and 2 assists in 8 appearances across all competitions.

Moreover, he has already emerged as a prolific scorer at a young age, recording 19 goals and 10 assists last season for Elversberg. It is high time for Chelsea to strengthen their attacking options in the upcoming winter window, and this young forward could become a key player in the future for the Blues. Adding this Kosovo international could work wonders as he fits Maresca’s style of play.

However, it will be interesting to see whether Chelsea can win this transfer race or face a situation similar to Hugo Ekitike, Nick Woltemade, and many other attacking targets who, despite being heavily linked in the summer, eventually joined other Premier League sides.

Meanwhile, there’s also the possibility of Nicolas Jackson returning to Stamford Bridge after completing his loan spell at Bayern Munich as his buy-in clause is reportedly optional. So that’s another scenario to keep an eye on.
