Chelsea’s start under the management of Liam Rosenier has been solid. Except for the two games against Arsenal, they have won the rest as his tactical strategy has proved successful despite having a depleted team. Hence, adding some more quality talent is of utmost importance if they are to take the next step in the future.

The Blues have been facing challenges with injuries from the very beginning of the season, where midfield and defensive options have taken the biggest hit. Hence, opting for new talents in those specific regions had looked like a priority for quite some time.

However, no improvements were accomplished in the recent transfer window. Now, the eyes will turn towards the summer, as the fans continue to grow more and more frustrated with the ownership and sporting directors.

Chelsea Strategise a Real Madrid Approach to Reinforce Their Squad

As reported by Fichajes, Chelsea plan to pay €120 million to secure the permanent signings of Endrick and Nico Paz in the summer.

Both of the young individuals have shown their potential at their respective clubs. Paz has gained attention in Serie A with Como. The attacking midfielder have appeared in 60 matches from 2024–25 with a total of 15 goals and 15 assists so far. Real Madrid are expected to exercise their buyback clause in the summer, but Chelsea could come in with an offer straight afterwards.

On the other hand, Endrick is starting to prove his worth in Ligue 1 with Olympique Lyonnais, registering five goals and one assist in five appearances this season, a remarkable start for someone who was struggling to get a game at Real Madrid in the first half of the season.

Planning to sign youngsters is what the Blues have done for quite some time. At some point though, they will need to make some win-now moves.
